Othello in Venice
During 2016, 400 years after William Shakespeare’s death, a unique series of theatrical productions is going to stage in the cities of the Italian region Veneto, where the author originally set them.
Othello is undoubtedly one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays set in Venice;
Beauty overwhelmed by love, love overwhelmed by jealousy….Othello, Desdemona, Iago: passion, love, hate.
A limited number of spectators (30/50 persons per event) is offered the unique possibility to live and almost be part of the performance as the public follows the actors from one room to the next to view the various scenes in the magnificent setting of one of the most fascinating Venetian Palaces on the Gran Canal Cà Sagredo.
The performances are in English with an Italian narrator and will start at 7 pm when the guests are greeted with a welcome cocktail in the lobby. Enjoy dinner after the show with a Shakespearean menu at the hotel’s restaurant Alcova.
